Free Preschool Interest Form
Thank you for reaching out to us! We are here to connect you with the free preschool and PreKindergarten (PreK) programs in our community, and answer your questions.
Step 2: We will use the information you share on the form to work with you and find what best supports your child and family. Below are the free programs in our area, made possible through federal, state and district funds:
- Head Start and Oregon’s Preschool Promise: Free, full-day programs for children who are age 3 years by September 1st. These have income guidelines, and space is limited.
- Tigard-Tualatin School District PreK: Free, part-day preschool for children who are age 4 years by September 1st. TTSD offers four free, inclusive part-day PreK classrooms in our district, however, and space is limited. Children with special needs, and families making less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level and who do not qualify for Head Start or Oregon’s Preschool Promise will have priority. Families making over 400% of the FPL will be placed on a waitlist and notified of an opening based on the date of application.
- Latino Network’s Juntos Aprendemos: A Spanish-language program where parents/guardians and children learn together. Families meet once a week for 2 hours during the school year. Juntos Aprendemos serves 3-5 year-olds and meets at four Tigard-Tualatin elementary schools.
- Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE): Free services to children found eligible through a referral and evaluation. Services may include special instruction and/or therapies (speech, physical, or occupational). Support may take place in community preschools, child care, or programs like Tigard-Tualatin PreK, Head Start, or Preschool Promise.
